Time to rug up! Australia’s east coast to shiver through the coldest weekend of the year so far as temperatures plunge to -5C – and it will be -1C in Sydney

As the mercury plummets towards zero, people are being warned to rug up and prepare for the coldest weekend of the year. Melbourne has frozen to 2C while parts of Sydney’s will be below freezing.
